Councillor fears 10 year delay for vital Letterkenny link road

first_imgNewsx Adverts Google+ Pinterest 365 additional cases of Covid-19 in Republic WhatsApp Facebook RELATED ARTICLESMORE FROM AUTHOR Facebook 75 positive cases of Covid confirmed in North WhatsApp A Letterkenny Councillor is expressing grave concern that the proposed Bonagee Link Road has not been included in a priority list of National Secondary Roads which has been published by the National mRoads Authority.Cllr Dessie Larkin says there’s cross party support for the link, and widespread agreement that the road is a vital cog for Letterkenny and Donegal.He says the recent transportation study carried out on the council’s behalf showed the importance of the new link, but if it’s not on the priority list, that’s likely to delay it by over 10 years.Cllr Larkin says there needs to be a county wide show of support for the road.
